Isese Day: Council Chairman Urges Traditional Rulers, Practitioners To Pray For Stability, Peace

The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba (Hon.) Sulaimon Olanrewaju Kazeem, FCA, FCTI, has felicitated the traditional rulers in Yorubaland, Lagos State and Ikorodu Division in particular, on this year’s Isese Day Celebration.

Hon. Sulaimon, who is Otunba of Agboyi Ketu, urged traditional practitioners to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for stability and peace in the country.

August 20 every year is dedicated for the celebration.

The Council Chairman identified with the traditional practitioners in a statement signed and released today, in commemoration of the celebration.

“On behalf of my family, friends, party leaders, executives, legislators and council management, I felicitate the traditional worshippers on this year’s Isese day which is a day set aside yearly in honour of the ancient Yoruba people”, he said.

“While wishing them a peaceful celebration, l also enjoin you to pray for the stability and peace of this nation, devoid of ethnicity and religious differences.

“I also urge you all to pray for our leaders for more wisdom in piloting the affairs of this nation, in the right direction.

“ASA IBILE IKORODU, AJUMOSE NI”.
