Musediq Alogba Library Holds Maiden Reading Session Friday

The Musediq Alogba E-Library and Research Centre, which was established by the Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG), as a community/public library to advance education in Ikorodu Division, is set to hold the maiden edition of its Reading Session, as part of its resource development objectives.

The event, which is slated for the Oteju Hall of the Ultra – Modern Ikorodu Town Hall, Ikorodu, on Friday, June 16, 2023, would host the former Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and the Chief Learning Officer of Kith & Kin Group of Schools, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, as its inaugural Library Personality.

The library personality is expected to read his autobiographical book, ‘The Power of Purpose: Family, Faith, Education’, to a selected audience composed of students, educationists and other stakeholders, some of whom will also join him in reading.

Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Minister for Works and Chairman, Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) and Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board (ITHMB), would chair the session.

According to the Chairman of the Alogba Library Committee, Prince Rotimi Ogunleye, the session would be a quarterly programme by the library, to promote reading culture in the division.

He also stated that selected public and private secondary schools have been invited for participation.

Public schools invited for the session are: Oriwu Senior & Junior Model Colleges, Ikorodu; United High Senior and Junior High Schools, Ikorodu; Lagos State Civil Service Model College, Igbogbo; Ipakodo Senior and Junior High Schools, Ipakodo, and Keme Balogun Senior and Junior Colleges, Ibeshe.

The invited private schools are: Kith & Kin College, Owode – Ibeshe; HOMAT College, Igbogbo, Graceskies College, Elepe, Ikorodu; Livingstone College, Ikorodu, and Sagab College, Ikorodu.

Attendance at the session is strictly by invitation.
