10th National Assembly Inauguration: Former Majority Leader, Council Boss, Constituents Congratulate Abiru, Benson

Constituents across the lkorodu division, have been felicitating their representatives at the National Assembly, Senator Mikhail Tokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District and Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, on their respective inaugurations into the 10th National Assembly.

Both federal legislators were part of the 109 Senators and 358 Representatives that took their oaths of office today at the inauguration of the Assembly.

While Abiru, who replaced late Sen. Bayo Osinowo in December 2020, and returned to the Senate for the second term, Benson, who was first elected into the Green Chamber in 2015, is a third term member.

Former Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly and four – term representative of the Ikorodu Constituency I, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, congratulated the two federal legislators on their inaugurations and wished them happy tenure in office.

Hon.(Otunba) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju,FCA-FCTI, the Executive Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA, in a statement today, said that both legislators deserved re-election based on their performances in the 9th Assembly.

He also stated that with the two lawmakers, constituents will enjoy more dividends of democracy.

“One good turn, they say, deserves another. On this note, I join my family, friends, party leaders, Executives, Legislators, Council Management and the supporting people of Ikorodu West LCDA, to congratulate the Doing Good Senator, Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial district and Hon.Babajimi Adegoke Benson, ‘Julius Berger’ of lkorodu, representing the lkorodu Federal Constituency, on their inaugurations today”, he said.

“It is a clear indication that we shall experience more dividends of democracy with the infrastructure, health, education and empowerment that have been put in place.

“I wish you all an outstanding tenure that will elevate Lagos East, Ikorodu Constituency and the nation at large, in the right channel that will bring the renewed hope in the right perspective”, he said.

Prince Muyideen Olatunji Yusuf, a Supervisory Councilor in Ikorodu West, also felicitating the duo, said:

“Congratulations to you all: Senator Abiru (Lagos East) and Hon Babajimi Benson (Ikorodu Federal Constituency), on your successful inaugurations at the 10th National Assembly”.

“Itesiwajurere to you all!”.

A Union leader at the Lagos State University of Science & Technology (LASUSTECH), Comrade Semiudeen Akinlawon, also wished them successful representations.

“Congratulations on your inaugurations at the 10th National Assembly. I wish you all successful representations and services to your respective constituencies. Aameen”

Tayo Odesanya, a public analyst, also felicitating Rep. Benson, described him as the Ikorodu man of the decade and wished him another term as representative of his people.

“Hearty congratulations, Ikorodu’s Man of The Decade, @Rep JB, on the activation of your third lap, here’s wishing that you have it even more beautiful than yester terms”, he said.

“WE TRUST YOU”, Odesanya added.

Mr Kunle Olambiwoninu, the Secretary to the Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), also congratulated Rep. Benson whom he described as his boss.

“Wishing my principal, a more impactful tenure in office. Hearty cheers, big boss!”.
