The most outspoken resident in Ikorodu over the ongoing rehabilitation of the Ikorodu – Shagamu Road, Mr Seun Elesho, has, again, lamented the failure of the federal government to complete the projects after the expiration of the promised date.

Elseho expressed disappointment that another government would inherit what ought to have been completed within 36 months, but has been on for 86 months, yet uncompleted.

The President, Ikorodu Heroes (I – Heroes), stated his positions on his Facebook and other social media platforms on Thursday, and tagged the Honourable Minister for Works, Mr Raji Fashola, SAN, the Senator representing the Lagos East, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson..

“36 Months turned into 86 Months. As at today, it is safe to say that the incoming government would inherit this construction as an uncompleted work. Though, it is not abandoned, 36 months have now turned to 86 months and still counting”, he said.

“Before the 2023 general elections in February, the roundabout part of the Ikorodu end of the Ikorodu–Shagamu road construction was laid with red sand and has remained like that for over two months.

“It is just about 18 days to the inauguration of the President-Elect; it is rather unfortunate that we shall continue to talk about this road construction year after the due date of completion was not met. @Babatunde Raji Fashola @Babajimi Benson @tokunboabiru”, he expressed his disappointment.
