Resident Charges Fashola, Abiru, Benson Over Ikorodu- Shagamu Road Completion

Aresident of Ikorodu has charged the Minister for Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, on the uncompleted Ikorodu – Shagamu road, while he is still battling with the Presidential election of his former boss, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the head of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Election Situation Room.

Also charged are Senator Tokunbo Abiru, the Senator representing the Lagos East and Rep. Babajimi Benson, the representatives of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, both of whom have just been re-elected at the weekend second and third term respectively, to ensure that the rehabilitation of the road is completed between now and May when the current administration will be winding down.

Seun Elesho, who resides along the road and has been consistent on speaking and writing about the road relative to its collapsed state to when the rehabilitation started, abandoned and re-started, gave the charged on his social media handle today.

“Presidential (and National Assembly) elections are rounding off. However, Ikorodu-Sagamu road construction is still incomplete. Thanks for the efforts along the Lagos end of the road which has witnessed over 85% completion”, he said.

“Mosimi to Shagamu end cannot show the same (level of work).

“Between now and May, it is still safe to call Mr Babatunde Fashola SAN, Minister for Work, and Housing, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, Senator representing Lagos East and Hon. Babajimi Benson, Representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency. Their efforts are very visible, valued and appreciated, but more still need to be done”, he charged.
