I Will Go Back To Understand My Constituency Better – AMA, Elected Assembly Member

Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), Member of Lagos State House of Assembly – elect for Ikorodu Constituency II.

The elected lawmaker that will represent the Ikorodu Constituency II in the 10th Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has said that he will go back to study and have better understanding of his constituency before his inauguration.

AMA, spoke with THE IMPACT about his emergence immediately after his declaration as winner of the Saturday’s Assembly election in Constituency II which comprises of Igbogbo/Bayeku, Ijede and Imota Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Ikorodu Division.

He was also full of praise for the re – elected House of Representatives member, Rep. Babajimi Benson and the three council chairmen in his constituency and every other person that contributed to his victory.

“I will place everything in the hands of God. I will pray and also go back to study Ikorodu Constituency II properly and I will put my hands in what I want to do. I don’t hide my feelings. I will start studying and maybe after my swearing in, I will start implementing my plans one after the other. I’m just too happy. Thank you very much”, he said smiling.

“Let me return all glory and adoration to God for this wonderful privilege that the Lord has bestowed upon me and also thank the people of Ikorodu Constituency II, for deeming it fit yo elect me as their representative, and I also want to use this medium to passionately appreciate the chairmen of the three LCDAs in my constituency, starting from Builder Olusesan Daini, the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA chairman, Hon Gbadebo Motunrayo, the Ijede LCDA chairman and also Hon Agoro Wasiu, Imota LCDA chairman, for working assiduously in making this victory a reality. I want to sincerely appreciate them.

“I also want to appreciate all the electorate that also came out to cast their vote yesterday. I passionately appreciate everyone and also appreciate my boss, Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson, as well as all the leaders in Ikorodu and all the leaders in Imota, Ijede and Igbogbo/Bayeiku”.

“I appreciate the media because we started this journey together in October 12th, when INEC officially gave us the go ahead to officially start campaigning and I thank God for making this day a reality because it is not all of us that started that are alive today, but for being alive, I want to say a big thank you to the ancient of days for this wonderful grace”, he said

Speaking on the Saturday election, AMA said that the electoral process in the country is improving.

“Looking at the crowd that came out to exercise their civic responsibility as citizens of this wonderful country, you can see the process from the morning when electoral materials were convened to the PUs, accreditation, voting, sorting and counting, one can see that it is free and fair process and I thank God that we are also improving on our electoral system in Nigeria and this year elections as showed that elections in Nigeria can be free and fair. The process was hundred percent thumbs up”, he said.
