Assembly Election 2023: AMA, APC Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly Candidate Declared Winner -

Dr Folashade Afolabi, the Returning Officer, Ikorodu Constituency II, presenting the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat, Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), with the official result of the election as the winner at the INEC office in Ikorodu on Sunday.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly seat, Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has been declared the winner of the House of Assembly election held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

He was declared winner and returned by Dr Folashade Afolabi, the Returning Officer, Ikorodu Constituency II, with 26, 920.

Dr Afolabi, while declaring the results, said:

“I, Folasade Afolabi, hereby, declare that I am the Returning Officer of the Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly election held on the 18th day of March 2023.

“The election was contested and the candidates received the following votes: Ogunnote Bukola Iyabo (party AA) -24 votes, Kasumu Shamsideen Olasunkunmi Adedoyin (party AAC) – 45 votes, Omo Osas Ifemide (party ADC) – 107 votes, Azeez Gbolahan (party ADP) – 66 votes, Aro Moshood Aboidun (party APC) – 26,920 votes, Adebayo Monsurat,(party BP) – 15 votes, Adetula Fausat Olayide (party LP) – 3,526 votes, Onibudo Sodiq Aboidun (party NNPP) – 33 votes, Oyebo Adewale Isiaka (party PDP) – 1,505 votes and Owolabi Mojeed (party SDP) – 5 votes”, she said.

“Aro Moshood Aboidun of the APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is, hereby, declared the winner and returned elected”, Dr Afolabi declared.

Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, Chairman, Ijede LCDA, Builder Sesan Daini, IgbogboBayeku LCDA and others at the announcement of results at the INEC office in Ikorodu on Sunday.

At the declaration held at the INEC Office in Ikorodu were Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, the Divisional Chairman, APC Ikorodu Division, Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, Chairman, Ijede LCDA, Hon. Adeola Banjo, Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Otunba (Hon) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Alhaji Badru Enifeni, APC chieftain, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, Director, Media & Publicity, Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo campaign and Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo, Coordinator, BOSYOPS, Lagos East.
