Mr Kazeem Adeniyi Owoyele, the Labour Party (LP) candidate for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has said that he knows nothing about his party adopting Olamide Lawal, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for today’s election.

The news of the purported adoption of PDP candidate by the LP, went round late evening of the election eve with an e – poster showing the two parties logo with inscription: ‘Labour Party Dumps Assembly Candidate, Endorses Olamide Lawal of PDP In Ikorodu Constituency 1’.

When contacted via WhatsApp, the candidate of the LP said that he heard about the rumour first from our reporter.

“I’m just seeing this too. I don’t know anything about this”, he said.

“Besides, there are no details attached to it, so there’s nothing to worry about”.

Eight candidates in Ikorodu Constituency I and ten in Constituency II, who are representing various political parties, would lock horns in today’s election in a bid to win the two Assembly seats on offer.
