ISU Week: Oreyo, Zumratul Win Quiz, Public Speaking Competitions

As part of the activities marking the 67th Igbogbo Students’ Union (ISU) week, quiz and public speaking competitions were organized for the Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

At the competition held at the Oba Fatola Pavilion, Adeboruwa Palace, igbogbo on Wednesday, students that represented various schools showed high level of understanding and knowledge with their delivery.

The Junior School category of the quiz competition featured five schools: Movers School, Oreyo Grammar School, Zumuratul Islamiyah Secondary School, Fathom School and Reri Grammar School.

At the end of the quiz which ended in a tie, Movers School emerged winner, while Oreyo Grammar School came second. In the same vein, tiebreaker was needed to determine the third position between Reri Grammar School and Zumuratul Islamiyyah School, while Fathom School took 5th position.

The Senior Secondary Category featured an impromptu public speaking and quiz among school representatives on the topic: “If I Were President, I Would …….”.

The participating senior schools were: Zumuratul Islamiyah School, Reri Grammar School, Fathom School and Movers School.

In this category, Zumuratul Islamiyah School, Movers School and Reri Grammar School emerged first, second and third respectively, while Fathom School came fourth.

All the participating schools in the competitions were presented with Certificates of Participation which were presented by the President of the Union, Comr. Ewulogbo Temiloluwa.
