LASUSTECH, 174 Battalion Strengthen Partnership On Security

The Lagos State University for Science & Technology (LASUSTECH) and the 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Odpgunyan, have strengthened the partnership that has been existing between the two institutions.

According to a statement on Monday by the LASUSTECH management, the partnership was strengthened when Prof. Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, Vice Chancellor of the University received Col. Emmanuel Oluwaseyi Sholotan, the Commanding Officer, Nigerian Army 174 Battalion, Odogunyan, Ikorodu who was on a courtesy visit to the University.

Col. Sholotan while congratulating Prof. Odusanya on his appointment as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, noted that the Institution and the 174 Battalion of the Nigerian Army before its transmutation have enjoyed cordial relationship over the years.

Speaking further, he said that the visit is an assurance that the partnership subsists and has been further strengthened today.

Speaking, Prof. Odusanya also congratulated the army officer on his recent promotion and informed that the University will not hesitate to provide information on security issues that bothers around the institution and its environs to the Military for immediate actions.

He added that the University and the neighbouring communities rely on the support of the 174 Battalion for security of lives and property.
