Kuti’s World Championships Feats Good For Country At Large – DG Sports

The Director General (DG), Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar Bolowotan has commended the Nigeria rising table tennis star, Master Mathew Kuti who, last week, emerged winners in two categories at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

In a brief chat with Bolowotan who, had over the years, extended support to the Ikorodu Table Tennis Club which the table tennis prodigy, Kuti belongs to, said that his achievements at the international level is a good thing for his hometown, state and the country at large.

Kuti won the U – 13 and U – 11 categories at the WTT and returned home to an heroic welcome with the highly revered Ikorodu monarch, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Engr. Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association and other groups hosting him.

He is the current National Champion in Table Tennis Cadet and Mini – Cadet categories of the Aso Table Tennis Club Annual Championships (ATTC), which its 14th edition was held in Abuja.

He also charged him to continue to put in his best to get to the peak of his career.

“It’s very good one for him, the town, the state and the country as a whole”, Bolowotan said.

“Hopefully, he will continue to do and put in his best”, he added.
