Agura Gets First Monarch As Sanwo – Olu Presents Staff Of Office To Oba Ogunnake

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo – Olu, today, presented the Staff of Office to the Alagura of Agura, Oba Ahmed Moruf Olalekan Ogunnaike.

The new monarch received his paraphernalia of office at the Ikorodu Local Government secretariat, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

Hon. Robert Bolaji, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters, presented the Staff of Office on behalf of the Governor.

At the presentation were His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Richard Ogunsanya, the Olubeshe of Ibeshe and His Royal Majesty, Oba David Balogun, the Eweye of Isiwu.

Oba Ogunnaike is from the Ogunnaike Ruling House of Agura. He was once a staff of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission.

The new Oba is a descendant of Fusenkoye (Baba Alago Ira) of Agura in Ikorodu Local Government.

He is a poultry farmer, a profession that earned him the nickname, ‘Elediye’. He once owned the biggest poultry in Imowo-Nla town.

He is also a businessman.
