The Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ), Mrs Bolatito Ajibode (nee Sanni), has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a visionary leader who should lead the country.

Mrs Ajibode, who left Stanbic IBTC as the General Manager, Head of Client Cooperation and Investment Banking, said that what the APC Presidential candidate conceived in acquiring lands to establish LFTZ can only be done with plans for the future.

The DMD, LFTZ, who commended Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu for considering Ikorodu for the position that she is presently occupying as the DMD, LFTZ, spoke at the September 2022 edition of the ‘Apo – Anu’ food distribution in Ikorodu by Rep. Babajimi Benson, Chairman, House Committee on Defense and his iCare Foundation team on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

“I am very happy that our governor considered Ikorodu for the present position that I am occupying. I was taking from the banking sector to be the Deputy Managing Director (DMD), Lekki Free Trade Zone at Akodo”, she said.

“I worked in the bank for 31 years starting with the Eko International Bank in 1990, before I got this job. Though, I have been following the progress at the Lekki Free Trade Zone and other facilities there from the banking perspective, but when I got there, I saw that it is a big deal.

“When I got there, I realized that we needed to commend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu because it takes only a visioner to conceive such an idea. If you get to the place, you will come to the realization that it can only be conceived by someone with sound mind and great intellect who should be the one leading this country”, Mrs Ajibode added.

“It takes a leader that is visionary to acquire 16, 000 hectares which covers Lekki Free Zone, Dangote Refiney, Deep Seaport which is the first in Nigeria and also the entire Alaro”.

While stating that LFTZ, Dangote Refinery and Deep Seaport were located on 16, 000 hectares of land, Mrs Ajibode said that the investment initiated by Tinubu is the future of the country.

“Where we are which is Lekki Free Zone is just 16, 000 hectares and to put that in perspective, the entire Victoria Island (V/I) is only 750 hectares, so if V/I is 750 hectares, that means where Lekki Free Zone is which is just 3000 hectares out of the entire 16, 000 hectares of land acquired is four times the size of the V/I”, she said.

“There is also a space which has not been touched but reserved for future development. This is the future initiated by Asiwaju Tinubu”, she stated emphatically”.

Throwing her support behind Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidential aspiration, Mrs Ajibode said that the former Governor of Lagos State has the capacity to run the country better.

“It is really his (Asiwaju Tinubu) turn to be in that position because he is concerned with the way things are being run and he has the capacity to do it better”, she said.
