Ikorodu Resources Group Awards 17 Undergraduate Students Scholarship

The Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) has announced that it has awarded scholarship to 17 undergraduate students across the Division.

The scholarship is in line with the ideas upon which the Group was setup and also part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the community.

The successful 17 students were selected across the division from the following disciplines: Medicine and Surgery; Sciences, Engineering and Technology; Social and Management Sciences and Law and Humanity.
The beneficiaries would be presented with N100, 000 each.

They are to enjoy the scholarship throughout their studentship provided that they maintained the required CGPA.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, IDRDG, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, the group stated that it is committed to the educational development in Ikorodu Division because it is a lasting investment for the future.

“A Chinese philosopher Confucius once said, “if your plan is for one year, plant rice; if your plan is for ten years, plant trees; if your plan is one hundred years, educate children”, the statement quoted.

“This means that the most lasting and meaningful investment any one can do is to invest in the development of the youths which will last through the ages. Therefore, the education of a child is a worthy and wise investment like the popular saying, “Education is the best legacy”.

“In line with this, the Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG) has approved the award of scholarship to seventeen (17) undergraduate students of Ikorodu Division as one of its core objectives to the development of human capital and as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the community”.

  2. Shofowora S. Oluwafemi – Biochemistry
  3. Kuti Jesudunmi – Medicine
  4. Fatola Jesutofunmi – Economics
  5. Balogun Ramota – Sociology
  6. Ayinde Mariam – Nursing
  7. Shitta Romlah Inumidun – Law
  8. Kamson Mayowa Pelumi – Biochemistry
  9. Ogunsanimi Daniel Ayomide – Dentistry & Dental Surgery
  10. Orumo Abdul-Basit – Physics
  11. Soyombo Oyinlola – Medicine & Surgery
  12. Oduyebo Anthony – Medicine & Surgery
  13. Sofile Gideon Olakunle – Microbiology
  14. Gafar O. Olanshile – Dentistry & Dental Surgery
  15. Olayinka I. Jesutofunmi – Physics
  16. Sanni B. Adedamola – Medicine & Surgery
  17. Ijaodoro-Aina Aminat Omobolanle – Nursing Science

The Resource Group is an incorporated non-political body of professionals, academics and public and private sectors administrators with a sole objective of promoting human resource of Ikorodu Division.

Since the establishment of the IDRDG, it has served as a catalyst to the socio-economic development of the Division.
