Just In: Council Scribes In Lagos Elect New Officers

Secretaries to the Local Government (LGs) and Local Council Development Area (LCDAs) across the 57 Councils in Lagos State, under the aegis of Scribe 57 Forum, have elected new Executive Council members.

At the election, which took place at the Bagauda Kaltho Conference Centre, Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, on Friday, August 5, 2022, Comrade Akeem Dauda, Secretary to the Ikeja Local Government, was elected Chairman of the Forum, while Barr. Ade Ayeni, SLG, Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, emerged as the General Secretary.

The two of them were inaugurated immediately, alongside other newly elected officers, after the election.

The new officers’ first official function after their elections, was meeting with the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Folashade Jaji, where issues bothering on development in the state and councils were discussed.
