Oriwu College Leads Other District II Schools’ Dominance At 2022 Pascal Dike Competition

Mrs Anike Adekanye, the Tutor – General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS), Education District II (4th right) with students and staff of Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, with their prize money, awards and gift items when they paid a visit to TGPS at her Maryland office after the competition.

It was another amazing performances by schools in the Lagos State Education District II, as they clinched the first, second and third prizes at the 2022 Pascal Dike Public Speaking Competition.

The annual competition was organized by Junior Chambers International/YALES in collaboration with the Lagos State Government.

Onafusi Esther and Okolo Emmanuel, students of the premier college in Ikorodu Division and one of the best schools in Nigeria in 2020, Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, emerged the Overall Winner.

Prize money of N70, 000 with cartons on peak milks were presented to the winner.

The competition took place on Friday, July 29, 2022.

Dada Opemiposi and Gbadamosi Tinuola of Eva-Adelaja Girls Senior Secondary School, Bariga) came second best, while Dawodu Mutiat and Agbato Folabomi, students of Immaculate Heart Comprehensive Senior High School, Maryland, emerged third.

Mrs Anike Adekanye, the Tutor – General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, while receiving the winners immediately after the contest, appreciated the amiable Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, for the innovative effects of his T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda on all Lagos State Schools, Staff and Students.

She equally appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs Adefisayo Folasade for her innovation and forward looking leadership.
