Assembly Aspirant Pulls Crowd With ‘Ikorodu Wake Up’ Concert

Eniola ‘Wake Up’ Adeyemi, aspirant for Ikorody Constituency I seat, Lagos State House of Assembly addressing crowd of party members and residents at the ‘Ikorodu Wake Up’ Concert which part of his formal declaration for the Assembly race in Ikorodu on Tuesday.

The Lagos State House of Assembly hopeful and entertainment investor, Eniola ‘Wake Up’ Adeyemi, pulled massive crowd as he staged the maiden edition of the ‘Ikorodu Wake Up Concert’.

The Ikorodu Wake Up Concert, which paraded a leading hypeman in the entertainment industry, Hypeman Lucky, was part of the formal declaration activities  of the aspirant vying for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The concert, which he said will be an annual event to promote peace and also serves as platform to discover talents that are abundant in Ikorodu, took place at the open ground of the Ikorodu Town Hall on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Large crowd of party members, residents and students of the Lagos State University of Science & Technology (LASUSTECH), attended the concert where Agbaku traditional singer, Igbo cultural group, and many hiphop artistes took their turns to entertain the teeming audience.

The event also afforded the aspirant the opportunity to show his good dance steps on the stage.

Speaking with THE IMPACT, Eniola said that the concert was his own way of assisting young talents that abounds in Ikorodu.

“This is the maiden edition of what our team tagged, ‘Ikorodu Wake Up Concert’, which is going to be an annual event”, he said.

“Our intention is to use it to promote peace, friendliness and cooperation among residents and more important, to use it as a platform for talents to showcase what they have and be discovered. Through this, they can make it into the entertainment stardom and positively project their families and Ikorodu.

“Today, we have also canvass residents to ensure that they get their Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) so as to be eligible to vote in the General Elections in 2023.

“As a young entrepreneur, I have invested in entertainments, products marketing and other related ideas. Through entertainment, we shall help the society to promote freedom, responsibility, social tolerance, social justice and equality of opportunities for youths.

“We have abundant creative talents in our midst waiting to be tapped, this is what we are going to be using our legislative and representative power to do and in doing that, they will be assisted to rediscover their inbuilt power to change their personal lives and spread positive vibes into the society through entertainment”, he said.

The aspirant, who said that the concert was also strategic to his campaign, told THE IMPACT that through the avenue, he has appealed to delegates to vote for him for the future of their children and Ikorodu at large.

“We are not just here to party and enjoy, but also to speak to our delegates in the forthcoming primnary election on the need to vote for me because a vote for me is for their own future and that of Ikorodu”, he said.

“We also called on residents that are here to go back and talk to their family members and friends that are delegates to ensure that they vote for me, vote for Sanwo – Olu as Governorship candidate and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as APC Presidential candidate”.

Also at the concert were Alhaji Musliiu Sulaimon, APC chieftain, Chief Odunsi Abika, Chief Jimi Jamiu Odunsi, Prince Bayo Adeyemi and Prince Adekunle Adeyemi among others.
