Late Chief Adenrele Olowu: Assembly Aspirant Visits Late Party Leader’s House, Condoles With Family

Mr Taoreed Haleem Babajide (ACA), an aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly seat, has visited the Igbogbo home Chief Adenrele Olowu, the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who died last weekend, to condole with his family.

The aspirant, popularly called ‘AK is Ok’, also condoled with the people of Igbogbo and entire Ikorodu Division on the demise of the party leader.

Late Chief Olowu passed away on April 8, 2022, in an unspecified hospital abroad where he was receiving medical treatment.

In a statement released on Monday (yesterday) by his media aide, Mr Lawal Nurudeen, the aspirant was said to have been accompanied on the condolence visit to the late APC leader’s residence by his campaign team (TACO).

He was received by prominent leaders and followers in the constituency as he expressed his deepest condolences to Pa Reuben Adenrele Olowu’s family and the good people of Ikorodu division at this difficult time .

“The world mourns with you and celebrates the extraordinary life of this remarkable leader of our time who devoted his life to the growth, development and prosperity of our division, protecting what he called our common home and future”, the statement said.

“It is a trying time for our party as his wealth of knowledge , wisdom and political presence will be greatly felt”, he added.

He further emphasised the roles played by the deceased in making sure there is peace and unity within the fold of the progressives in Ijede,Imota, and Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDAs.

The statement also states that the aspirant prayed for the family and friends of late Olowu and party faithfuls, that Almighty God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

“We must not be tired, we must not loose hope , we must not give up, we must persist. His legacy will stand as an example to all of us to persist in our pursuit of progress”, he said.

Present at the residence of late Olowu when the aspirant visited were Council officials and APC former and serving excutives of various wards in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
