There has been an outpouring of support from constituents for the aspiration of Hon. Adeola Muyideen Jokomba, former Chairman, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), to represent the Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
THE IMPACT gathered that the former council boss and a health and social professional, has indicated his interest to contest for the seat to leaders of his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and other stakeholders in the constituency.
Following this, a Whatsapp platform, ‘Friends of JK = OK’ which was opened, has been a beehive of activities where there has been growing support for Jokomba’s aspiration with some calling for the turn of Ikorodu North LCDA to take a shot at the seat.
Mojeed Ganiyu, speaking on the platform, said that Jokomba’s time has come to represent the people in the constituency.
“A Golden fish has no hidden place. JK, Almighty Allah will see us true. I believe this is the time for the state Assembly for you.
“I’m overwhelmed by the response that I’m reading from people that were added on this platform. Once again, ‘Enu o se , ise na ti bere niyen. Olorun yoo si fun wa se”, he said.
Mayor Baba, also commenting, said:
“Hon Adeola Jokomba has proven that he can bring total representation to Ikorodu Constituency 1 judging by his political and humanitarian antecedents”, he said.
“It is time to support the ultimate man who has moved round Ikorodu constituency 1 and is ready to see to the needs of the people in the grassroots.
“Hon (Dr) Muhydeen Adeola Jokomba (Jk) executed lots of projects when he was the executive chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA and is willing to do more when elected to represent the good people of Ikorodu constituency 1 at the Lagos house of Assembly.
“The good people of Ikorodu Constituency 1, let’s support the man with the best mindset for the job, the man who has delivered at the council level and is willing to bring more dividends to the masses”, he charged.
Another participant, Asoro Matase, described the aspirant as a selfless and passionate leader.
“He is a selfless leader, working and serving with passion. An achiever per excellence. JK, your contributions to Ikorodu North LCDA and the Ikorodu Constituency speak a lot. You left a footprint that can never be erased”, he said.
Another resident of Ikorodu North LCDA, Oladunni Olaide Adejoke, also wished him well.
“Hon Adeola Jokomba’s ambition is beyond now. I have known him for more than ten years. He’s the past chairman of lkorodu North LCDA and contested in the past for Lagos State House of Assembly race in 2019 but God knows better
“He’s in the race again for 2023 House of Assembly, Insha Allah”.
Mr Ogunbiyi Adedoyin Jokotex, a former aspirant for the Ikorodu North LCDA, speaking with THE IMPACT, said that he believed in Jokomba’s representation and congratulated him in advance.
“Congratulations in advance and with all modesty, I believe in your sagacity, your achievements and strides are there to speak as a responsive and quintessential leader and representative”, he said.
“Jk is truly OK as Member, Lagos State House of Assembly to represent the Ikorodu constituency 1. The time for Ikorodu North is now.
“We would be exploring and deploying all machinery and resources, including best capable hands to join the team in delivering the mandate of LSHA to Hon. Adeola Muyideen Jokomba”, he said.
Desmond Balogun, in a chat with THE IMPACT, said that his loyalty to Jokomba is undivided.
“Hon Muyideen Adeola Jokomba is a man I have great respect for. I can’t begin to tell you the story right now but my loyalty to him is intact and has not changed before now and will never change till eternity”, he said.
“The man Adeola Jokomba has my undivided support and loyalty anytime, wherever, whenever, whether or not he invites or involves me in his campaign train. On Jokomba mandate I stand and will always do.
“I have always prayed for him to get there. So, I’m prepared this time around with everything I’ve got, with every blood running through my veins”.
