Kunle Adelabu
A new committee for the planning of the annual Igbogbo Day has been inaugurated by the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali.
The 32 – member committee was inaugurated at the Adeboruwa palace with members of the Adeboruwa -in-Council and Igbogbo Development Association (I.D.E.A) in attendance.
The committee, which is being chaired by Mr N.T.A Balogun, will serve between 2021 and 2022.
Other executive members of the committee are Alh. Sheriff Junaid (Vice Chairman) and Mr. Idris Adesina (Secretary).
Oba Kasali, while addressing members of the committee, charged them to be good ambassadors of Igbogbo Kingdom.
He also added that members of the committee should give Igbogbo community a befitting annual Igbogbo Day by improving on the previous editions.
Other members of the committee are Miss. Faosiat Oduntan, Mr. Yusuf Sanni, Mr. Adeyemi Oshodi, Mr. Adewale Odumuyiwa, Mrs. Adenike Sonubi Wahab, Mrs. Sherifat Olatoye and Mrs Amina Aroyewun.
Also on the committee are Mr. Tolu Faniyi, Mr. Ibrahim Ajibade, Mr. Hammed Aroyewun, Mr. Hammed Solanke, Mr. Olugbenga Oduniyi, Mr. Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa and Dr. Abdulfatai Andu
Mr. Muritala Balogun, Mr. Taofeeq Ipaye, Ms Basirat Abdullah, Alh. Ganiu Olubodun, Mr. Saheed Rufai, Mr. Olumide Oyesanya, Alhaja Khadija Ibrahim and Alhaji Sulaiman Oyekunle also made the list.
Other members are Mrs Ganiyat Ishola (Oloja), Mr. Kehinde Yekini ( Oloja), Rev. Fashola (CAN), Mr Kehinde Adekoya and Chief Moshood Janran.
The committee will also have representatives of the Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA and Community Development Committee (CDC).
