The programme, which was organized by the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), was sponsored by Helix Pharmacy Limited, Ikorodu.

At the programme tagged, ‘Free Medical Outreach’, residents were provided with eye tests and glasses, as well as dental, diabetic, blood sugar level and blood pressure tests by HELIX Pharmacy officials, as well as other doctors and health officials.

He thanked HELIX Pharmacy, the sponsor of the free medical outreach, for being part of this year’s celebration.

“The Helix Pharmacy, in commemoration of my six years in office, has come to give back to the community through medical outreach and many people have been screened and given free drugs. Many of the beneficiaries do not know their health conditions until they had the tests.

.“I want to thank them for being part and parcel of my celebration.

“I also want to thank the IKODASS, my chiefs and also members of the press for their supports too.

She stated that the group is giving back to Ikorodu because they have enjoyed patronages from its residents since HELIX was established in Ikorodu.

“The people of Ikorodu have given so much to Helix pharmacy as a brand. They have been partonising us and they have been loyal to us.

“We are here to give back to the people of lkorodu through this means of conducting a free medical outreach and we pray the town will continue to go forward.

While commending residents for coming out to grace the outreach programme, the HELIX representative also charged them to look more after their health conditions.

“Today’s program has made us realized that people do not really take care of themselves. We have cases where people have high cholesterol level, high blood pressure and we are able to tell them that they should take care of their health.

“We are grateful for the turn out and the way people responded, so we are very grateful for that”, she said.
