Commendations Trail Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA’s Newly Constructed Ultra Modern Secretariat

The new igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area secretariat ready for commissioning.

Political and community leaders in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area and Ikorodu Division have commended the construction of a ultra modern secretariat in Igbogbo by the administration of Builder Sesan Daini.

There have also been commendations from cross – section of residents of the council and others from outside for the befitting architectural achievement by the Council.

The leaders, including two previous Executive Chairmen of  the council (one former Sole Administrator and a former Executive Secretary), who toured the completed building alongside the council chairman and Councillors after the 2021 budget presentation, were stunned with the quality of what they saw.

THE IMPACT gathered that the new Secretariat building is slated for commissioning next week barring any development that may necessitate a change.

The one – storey building office complex, which has added aesthetic value to the Secretariat environment and giving it a complete new fascinating look, has 26 offices, including that of the Chairman.

It also has a Marriage Registry with capacity to admit 70 people at a go, one Conference room, a hall with 250 seats and 24 toilets.

Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Vice Chairman, APC Lagos East Senatorial District and Deputy Apex Leader, Ikorodu Division, who confessed that he was stunned by the edifice, described it as amazing and functional, while adding that the Council Chairman has proven his worth by adding value to the council.

“In fact, I am stunned. It is amazing that within the space of two years from the day of the turning of the surd and today, it is actualized”, the political leader said.

“This is a modern office, spacious, elegant and functional in terms of the connectivity of the offices. It is befitting of our LCDA and added to our value and also defines who we are as a people that are progressive – minded”.

He said that Builder Daini has proven that young men are capable of leading and impacting if given the opportunity.

“It is also a confirmation that young people have ideas when you give them the opportunity to prove themselves because the future is ahead of them and it is what they make of it that they will find”, Asipa Kaoli said.

“I congratulate Mayokun, one, as the representative of the youths and two, for himself that he’s been able to put in place this project as a legacy for Igbogbo and also, l congratulate the whole team; Vice Chairman, Councilor and other executive members” .

Hon. (Chief) Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola, former Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, former acting Commissioner for Tourism and former Special Adviser on Arts & Culture, Lagos State, who sang and danced to reflect her joy over the new Secretariat building when she was approached  by our reporter for her reaction, said that the Council Chairman has made her and entire Igbogbo community proud.

“I will be given thanks and praises to God at all times if supporting Sesan (the Council Chairman) has brought this development. I thank God that Comrade Olumayokun Olusesan Daini is capable”, she said while dancing.

She described the ultra modern building as a major transformation.

“On Wednesday, I was talking with former Council Chairmen of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA that people who are not conversant with the council before now will not know what the council used to be because of this development.

“Even if they had been here before, they will find it difficult to know that this is Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA because of the new transformation. This is a major transformation. Unfortunately, I don’t even know the adjective to describe this kind of the transformation but we are very happy and pray that God will continue to direct and guide him (Builder Daini) do more”, Hon. Akinsola said.

Hon (Prince) Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, the first Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, said that he is impressed with the development.

“In fact, I am really impressed. As the founder of this place, it is good to see such development. I am in support of this development and pray that the Chairman will continue his good work”, Prince Ogunmuyiwa said when contacted by our reporter.

Hon. Gbenga Basanya, the second Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, described the structure as a good development for Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

“He has been able to put in place a very good structure which is a good development for Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.

“The building is a modern structure that other councils can look up to and it is going to bring a lot of development to the community. It is well appreciated”, he said.

The Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, lgbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Pastor Abayomi Adelakun, also commended the Chairman for the construction of the befitting structure.

“The new Secretariat is highly commendable. This is the first time that the council will be having a befitting Secretariat. Many people have been coming and saying a lot of good things about the chairman”.

A former CDC Chairman, Alhaji Yisa Gbadamosi, who also spoke with THE IMPACT, said that he is proud of the chairman for constructing such modern edifice.

“We are very happy for the development. When you look at it, you will think that it is a House of Assembly Secretariat.

“We are proud of it and can conveniently invite people from outside the community to come and have a tour of the Secretariat”, he said.
