Lagos East Woman Leader, Yeye Fausat Gbadebo Is Dead, To Be Buried Today

Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, the late All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos East Senatorial Woman leader and former Chairman, Ijede LCDA.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos East Senatorial Woman leader, Yeye Fausat Gbadebo is dead. She was 68.

Yeye Gbadebo,  who was the chieftain of the Apex body of APC in Ikorodu Division, was the first Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

She was the mother of the current Vice-Chairman of the Ijede LCDA, Hon. (Mrs) Motunrayo Alogba.

She will be buried at 12noon today, January 25th, 2021, according to Islamic rites at 16 Liberty Road, Off Police Post, Ebute,  Ikorodu.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Ijede CDA Chairman,  (LCDA), Mr Kabir Femi Kareem, in a release early on Monday (today) announced the death of the politician.

“With our heart full of pains and deep sense of sorrow, we announce the sudden death of our Lagos East Senatorial Woman Leader, APC Apex Leader in Ijede LCDA, Yeye Oge of Ijede Land and mother of the Executive Vice Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Chief Mrs. Fausat Gbadebo . We pray to God to forgive her sins, overlook her shortcomings and grant all she left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, amin”, the statement said.

Meanwhile, tributes have been trickling in for the late politician from chieftains of the APC, political office holders and others.

Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, the Lagos East APC Vice Chairman, described her death as terrible.

“What a terrible news! The passing away of Yeye Fausat Gbadebo, the APC Women Leader, Lagos East Senatorial District. From Allah we come and to Him we shall return.

“I pray Allah gives fortitude to the family she left behind to bear the loss and may Allah forgives her sins and admit her into Al-Janah Firdaus”, the political leader prayed.

Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Jumoke Jimbo – Ademehin, in her own tribute, lamented the sudden death of Yeye Gbadebo.

“Whooh. Just like that !!!. We love her but God loves her most .I pray God grants the family,Ijede LCDA , Lagos Eàst Senatorial District and Lagos State APC  the fortitude to bear the loss. Amen”.

Alhaji Ogunyemi Sefiu, APC Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, also commenting on the death of the late woman leader said:

“May her soul rest in perfect peace. I pray the Almighty Allah grants  the APC Lagos State Party Exco, the Ijede LCDA Apex Body and Ijede LCDA Party members generally,especially the Executive Vice Chairman (who is her daughter) the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.  Odun a jinna si’ra. Amin”.

Former Senatorial aspirant on the platform of the APC and the Chairman, Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Otunba Ganiyu Abiru, also stated:

“May God repose her soul and overlook her shortcomings”.

Sen Seye Ogunlewe, former Works Minister and chieftain of the APC in his own tribute said:

“May the soul of our dear sister rest in perfect peace Yeye was a star in political family in the Lagos East Senetoria District. Our prayed goes to her family”

Prince Rotimi Ogunleye, former Lagos  State Commissioner for Physical Planning & Urban Development and Commerce, Industry & Cooperatives, in his own statement, said that the death was shocking and sad.

“So sad and shocking! Yeye was a good sister and a  pleasant personality. My condolences to her immediate family and the political family all over Lagos State and the Lagos East Senatorial District in particular . 

“My condolences to the people of Ijede whom she cherished and served diligently. May God grants her eternal rest and I pray that  He will grants the family the fortitude to bear the loss. Rest in peace Yeye Oge”, Prince Ogunleye said.
