Two young men have been killed today (Tuesday, October 20, 2020) in Ikorodu.

THE IMPACT gathered that the young man killed at Benson was a suspected cultist and a member of the Aye Confraternity, while the other killed at Ikorodu garage was a notorious street urchin.

We also gathered that the suspected hoodlum killed at the lkorodu garage, was, alongside other guys, involved in a confrontation with garage boys beside the Mobil Petrol Station.

THE IMPACT gathered that when deceased and his gang were overpowered, his friends fled on motorcycles while  he was left behind and was shot by the other faction.

His daylight murder was said to have led to serious commotion at the Ikorodu garage/Benson axis.

Organisers of the #EndSARS protest were reported to have quickly dispersed hundreds of youths that were protesting peacefully at the Ikorodu garage roundabout due to the incident.

Speaking with Adedeji Fatuga, one of the #EndSARS protest in lkorodu, he said that the protest has been suspended indefinitely because of the current happenings.

He added that he cannot expose hundreds of youths that are gathering peacefully every day for the protest to danger and crimes being perpetrated by hoodlums.

Meanwhile, men of the Nigerian Army have been deployed to take over the security situation at the lkorodu garage roundabout to forestall further violence and enforce curfew declared by the State government.
