-Calls for support for APC candidates
Residents of Ikorodu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, have been charged to get their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and be part of the decision making regarding who will govern the country in the next four years, through their votes.
The Lekan Aroyewun Support Group gave the charge in a statement titled, ‘Let’s start The ‘Renewed Hope’ This February’.
In the statement, which was signed on Wednesday by the duo of Nurudeen Oshinlaja, the Director-General, Lekan Aroyewun Project/Lekan Aroyewun Support Group, and the General Secretary, also asked voters to sustain the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), in government by voting all its candidates for consistency.
“On behalf of all HOA support groups, the LeAP management team wishes you a happy and favourable February when, by God’s grace, the ‘Renewed Hope’ shall start”.
“The month is long anticipated because it starts one of the most important events in our nation’s history; The PRESIDENTIAL and NASS ELECTIONS, 2023.
“All of us have the civic responsibility to determine the direction of our country at least for the next four years. The least we can do for our country is to vote right in the best interest of our country”, the group charged.
The group said that the Lagos State Government being controlled by the APC, has transformed the state, adding that there is need to vote again for the party’s candidate.
It also called for support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Kassim Shettima for President and Vice President respectively; Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu and Dr Obafemi Hamzat for Governor and Deputy of Lagos State; Senator Tokunbo Abiru for the Lagos East Senatorial District; Hon. Babajimi Benson for Ikorodu Federal Constituency and Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun, for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
“Evidently, the All Progressives Congress (APC), through her responsible leaders and officers, is transforming Lagos state and, to a large extent, Nigeria”, the statement said.
“Consistency is key. The wind of prosperity must be allowed from top to bottom. The party is getting many things right, hence, hope is on the horizon for all Nigerians. Let’s support and vote APC from top to bottom!
“The first step to getting it right is the collection of our Permanent Voter’s Card. Let’s go and get our PVC and do the needful for the future of our country.
