Comr. Odumosu Rafiu Abiodun, CDC Chairman, Imota LCDA (right) being sworn-in with other members of his executives at the Imota LCDA Secretariat.

Comr. Odumosu Rafiu Abiodun, a foremost youth leader, community activist and mobiliser in Imota Local Council Development Area (CDA), has been elected as the Chairman of the council’s Community Development Committee (CDC).

He was returned unopposed during the election held at Imota LCDA Council Secretariat, Ebute-Ajebo Road in Imota, on Friday, December 20, 2019.

Other members of the CDC returned at the election, which was supervised by Mr Al-Ameen, who led the delegation from the Ministry of Local Government & Community Affairs (LG & CA), and Mr Tito Bakare, the  Head of Agriculture Department,  were Prince Akala Adeleke (1st Vice Chairman), Prince.Adesanya Sikiru (2nd Vice Chairman) , Alhaji Ajibona Lateef (General Secretary), Comr:Onanuga Ismail (Asst. Gen. Secretary), Mrs Olorunibe Bello (Treasurer), Engr Adeyemi Aborisade (Financial  Secretary), Mr Ogunleye Oluwaseun  (Auditor), Mr Olowo-opejo Olusegun (Welfare), Animashaun Azeez (Public Relation Officer), Mrs Akinyemi Bukola (Social Secretary)

Others were Mr Salisu Oba-Abdul Yekinni (Ex-Officio 1), Engr Yinusa Yaya Afekunle (Ex-Officio 11), Mr Jimoh Sanni (Ex-Officio 111), Mr Anthony Abama  A. (1V) and Hon Akinsanya Nosirudeen (V).

35 Community Development Associatons (CDAs) had between 11th and 17th of December, 2019, elected officers into various positions with their Chairmen, Secretaries and Treasurers participating in the CDC elections.

Some of the council’s political office holders that observed the elections were the Supervisory Councilor for Youth and Sports, Mr Oluwole, Supervisory Councilor for Work, Housing and Special Duties, Mr. Fagbesan Muhammad and others.
