APC National Assembly Primaries: Hon. Gbajabiamila, Hon. Taiwo, Hon. Benson, Prince Sanusi, Others Secure House of Reps Tickets

– Remi Tinubu, Olamilekan Adeola, Bayo Osinowo also secure Senatorial ticket

The Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has again secured the candidature to vie for the Surulere I Federal Constituency seat in the Federal House of Representatives in the 2019 general elections.

 

The ranking lawmaker’s name is among the  names of the 24 successful candidates released by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State on Tuesday (yesterday). He secured 28, 995 votes in the primary election held across the state on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

 

He would be representing his people for the fifth term if he eventually wins the main election.

 

Also on the list is the former deputy speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Kolawole Taiwo. He polled 11, 569 votes to secured the APC ticket in Ajeromi.

 

He failed to get a fifth term ticket for the State Assembly in 2014.

 

The incumbent Federal lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon. Babajimi Benson, polled 31, 003 votes to secure the reelection ticket on the platform of APC. .

 

He was first elected on the platform of the party in 2015.

 

Prince Lanre Sanusi, a prince in the three senatorial districts of the state, polled 3, 411 votes to get the APC ticket in Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency.

Also on the list of the successful candidates is a former Commissioner in Lagos State and the incumbent lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye who polled 10, 153.

Another former Commissioner in the state, Hon Rotimi Ademorin polled 58, 488 votes to secure the APC ticket.

 

More so, Hon. Ganiyu Johnson polled 15, 108 to secure the ticket to represent the people of Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency; Hon. Samuel Adejare secured 17, 887 votes to secured the ticket in Agege Federal Constituency and Hon. Jide Jimoh scored 16, 723 votes to make the successful list. He is vying to represent Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency.

 

Others  are Hon. James Faleke, Ikeja Federal Constituency ( 26, 398 votes), Hon. Ibrahim Obanikoro, Eti-Osa Federal Constituency ( 42, 428 votes), Hon. Wale Raji, Epe Federal Constituency (17, 564 votes), Hon. Egberongbe Adewale ,Apapa Federal Constituency (1, 426 votes),  Hon. Bolaji Yusuf Ayinla Mushin II Federal Constituency (21, 758 votes), Hon Yinka Durosinmi (Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency (3, 798 votes), Hon. Dolapo Badru, Lagos Island I Federal Constituency (17, 984 votes ), Hon. Kayode Akilolu, Lagos Island II Federal Constituency (5, 369 votes), Hon. Taofeek Alliu (Mushin I Federal Constituency (36, 454 votes),  Hon. Bashir Daudu, Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency  (6441 votes), Hon. Lanre Okunola, Surulere II Federal Constituency (1300 votes),  Hon. Femi Adebanjo, Alimosho Federal Constituency (15, 709 votes), Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, Badagry Federal Constituenc (6, 537 votes), Hon. Ayoola Abdulkabir, Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency (14, 831votes) and Hon. Owolabi James Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency ( 22, 900 votes).

 

All the candidates would be contesting the general elections against the candidates on the platforms of other political parties in 2019 to secure various seats at the lower chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja.

The party also released the names of the three successful senatorial candidates on its platform. They are Sen. Olamilekan Adeola (Lagos West Senatorial District), Sen. Remi Tinubu (Lagos Central Senatorial District) and Hon. Bayo Osinowo ( Lagos East Senatorial District).
