2019 General Elections : APC Releases List of Successful Aspirants For Lagos Assembly Seats

Some of the principal officers of the Lagos State House of Assembly that secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) tickets for another term

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday (yesterday) released the list of the successful aspirants for the Lagos State House of Assembly seats.

 

The primary election for the State Assembly was held On Friday, October 5, 2018, across the 20 Local Governments in the state.

 

Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, representing Agege Constituency I and Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly top the list of current principal officers that secured the ruling party’s tickets for the 2019 general elections. He polled 7,004 votes.

 

Hon. Wasiu Eshinlokun, the deputy speaker, representing Lagos Island I constituency, also emerged as a candidate with 20, 898 votes while the representative of Ikorodu Constituency I and the Majority Leader of Ikorodu Constituency I, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, also secured the party’s ticket with 15, 463 votes.

 

Hon. Olumuyiwa Jimoh, the Deputy Majority Leader, representing Apapa II, polled 20, 898 votes to be returned as the candidate of the APC while the Chief Whip of the Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Abiru, polled 19, 398 votes to secured another ticket to contest  for the Somolu Constituency II seat in the Assembly in the 2019 general elections.

 

Other top ranking legislators who were returned as candidates for their respective seats are Hon. Rotimi Olowo, Somolu I ( polled 13, 334 votes), Hon. Bisi Yusuf, a sitting lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency I (polled 97, 541 votes to top the list of the aspirants with highest votes), and Hon. Gbolaha Yishau representing Eti-Osa I (polled 23, 054 votes) .

The representative of Ikorodu constituency II, Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, polled 899 votes to earned another candidature on the platform of APC, while Hon Desmond Elliot scored 22, 294 votes to vie for the Somolu Constituency I seat once again.

 

Also, Hon. Yinka Ogundimu, a sitting lawmaker from Agege Constituency II, and his counterpart from Badagry Constituency II, Hon. Setonji David,  secured 4,778 and 9, 686 votes respectively to get the re-election tickets.

 

The Epe Constituency I representative in the House, Hon. Abiodun Tobu, also secured another re-election ticket with 1, 529 votes.

 

Others were Hon. Kehinde Joseph, the Special Adviser to Governor Ambode on Civic Duties who emerged the second candidate with the highest votes with 51, 854 votes. He is vying to represent Alimosho Constituency II.

Tunde Buraimoh, who is vying to represent Kosofe II, polled 50, 773 votes to pick APC ticket, while Lukman Olumo, secured the candidature to contest for the Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency I seat with 24, 853 votes.

 

Also, APC aspirant for the Kosofe Constituency II seat, Ganiyu Okanlawon Sanni, polled  39, 837 votes to emerge winner among others.
