Lagos State Government has started the construction of a new structure within the premises of the African Church Primary School, Erikorodo in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Division.

The construction of One-storey building of 13 Classrooms, Head Teacher’s and Assistant Head Teacher’s offices and stores, is being handled by Odega Nigeria Limited.

The construction also includes toilet facilities, fire fighting and fire alarm (raft foundation) and fence and it is expected to be completed  in 6months.

The construction of the new structure started about a month ago.

THE IMPACT also gathered that the pupils have been temporarily moved to the Christ Baptist Church, Balogun Jaiyesimi Street, Parafa in Ikorodu North LCDA.

It would be recalled that THE IMPACT brought the dilapidated state of the school to the public attention early 2017.

The school is the only public primary school serving that locality and has being in ugly state for several years until this intervention by the Mr Akinwunmi Ambode led-state government.

The school was built by The African Church in 1955 as part of the Church’s contributions to humanity.
