“For me, love is the sole principle that inspires Shelter of Grace Foundation and its programmes. This is my own little way of contributing to the society but I still want to do more”, Princess Oba stated.

“The main objective of this feast is to put smiles on the people’s faces. Realizing that some of us are more blessed than others and that as human beings,  we take so many things for granted. Christmas time is a family time but some of us do not have such support; that kind of love to share at special seasons such as Christmas. That is why we decided to create an atmosphere for people to come together as families and friends to share love, meals and drinks”, she explained.

“It is our own way of giving an helping hand and ignite the attitude that one can raise two; two can raise 10; 10 can raise 100 and 100 can raise thousands so that our community would be much better for it and all of us could be change agents”,she added.

“Ikorodu is like an heartbeat of my heart and I want to do more for the people and impact positively on the community. This is our own way of creating a community that would be a choice to want to live and raise families”, Princess Oba stated.

She further stated that the introduction of cultural activities during the feast is her own way of supporting the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode’s tourism drive and promoting the rich cultural heritages in Ikorodu and Lagos State.

Hon. Babajimi Benson, who was a special guest of honour at the occasion, stated that the convener is well known for extending helping hands to the less privilege.

“She has been assisting the less privilege and needy and anywhere that is being done, I will always be there. It is part of her own ways of giving back to the society”, Hon. Benson stated.

“My message to my constituents is that I care for them”, Hon. Benson responded when he was asked about his message for his people for this festive period.
