Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, the representative of Ikorodu Constituency I and the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has commended Omolaye Covenant Community Development Association PHASE I for showing a good example of what Community Development Associations (CDAs) should be doing.

The lawmaker made this commendation during his visit to Omolaye Covenant CDA Phase I in Agbede in Ikorodu North Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) on Friday, December 22, 2017.

“I am here today because immediately after your CDA emerged the best CDA in Lagos State for the year 2017, you visited me with the bus presented to you as the prize for the award”, he stated during the visit.

“Again, as the person you voted for, I’m also here to commend you on behalf of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and entire Ikorodu Division. You have done us very proud and we are thankful to you for emerging the best CDA in Lagos State”.

“During your visit to me, I was properly briefed about the project (health centre) that won you the coveted prize and which you want the state government to take-over for proper management and maintenance.

“Since I don’t have the capacity to do that, I have discussed the request with  those in high places who have the capacity to ensure that the project is taken over by the state. You will believe better when it is finally taken over by necessary authority”, he stated.

“My visit today will further enhance and convince those that matters that the project is a completed one and which must achieve the purpose it was built for. I want to assure you that the God I serve is a God of possibilities and He’s going to make this possible”, Hon. Agunbiade assured the residents.

“Your achievements, especially the construction of this structure to serve the health needs of Agbede and its environs, is a laudable one.”

“You were able to achieve this because the land owners and the residents saw in you good leadership qualities and your true commitment to the development of the community.

“I also want to commend the family of Agbede Omolaye for preserving lands for developmental projects unlike other families in Ikorodu who had sold off everything. I also thanked the Baale and his families for partnering with the CDA”.

“This is a wonderful community where you have the indigenes and residents working together to give meaning to CDA and also mobilize members of the community to achieve lasting developments. I really commend you”.

He, however, pledged to assist in filling and grading  inner roads that lead in and out of the community with the rubbles of the demolition going on in Agric-Isawo area.

The CDA Secretary in his response, thanked Hon. Agunbiade for the visit and his quality representation.

The residents also requested that the lawmaker should help the community in facilitating the filling and grading of inner roads that lead in and out of the community with rubbles of the demolished houses.

The  construction of the 8-bedroom bungalow Health Centre, which earned Omolaye Covenant CDA the coveted award as the best CDA in Lagos State for the year 2017, was completed within a year.

The project cost N16.5million and has two maternity rooms, a doctor’s office, a pharmacy store, a pharmacist’s office, a labour room, injection room, 4 toilets, the main lobby and a borehole water system.
