Four blocks of two bathrooms and toilets each were donated to Oriwu College Model College, Ikorodu by the school’s Old Students’ Association.
Speaking at the commissioning of the facilities which took place today, Alhaji M.M Bolarinwa, the chief host said that the facilities were constructed by the old students’ association base on the request of the school principal. He added that the association would continue to help the school that gave them good foundation in life to achieve its aim of being the best in Lagos State.
At the programme, outstanding members of the association and principal, Oriwu Model College, Ikorodu Alhaja Sherifat Abiodun Oguniyi, were also honoured with awards of excellence. Among the old students honoured are former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Olaitan Araba, Air Vice Marshal Olusoji Awobodu, Late Alhaji Solaja Alagago, Mrs Adebola Afun, Mr David Sunmoni and Mr Niyi Badmus.
The toilet facilities were donated by1975, 1976, 1977 and 1978 sets of Oriwu College Old Students’ Association (OCOSA).
Elder Syvester O. Araba, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xciber Urban Spa Limited pledged to complete the school Chapel.
