The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, has revealed that his plans for the state will be unveiled soon.
Dr Hamzat hinted about this manifesto titled, “The Lagos Promise”, on his social media page after he visited the President and Senior Chiefs of the Association of Lagos Titled Chiefs at their October meeting.
According to him, the manifesto contains seven pillars, 31 chapters, and 100 pledges and through it, Lagosians will be able to track his performance if he is elected as the governor.

“It is not something I can control, but we can determine the future.
”I will be presenting my manifesto to Lagosians. We call it, “The Lagos Promise”, to ensure that Lagosians can track what we say, and if we don’t deliver, they will be able to say you have not done this.
”It is going to be the first manifesto as far as I know. I am fortunate to come from a political family. I have read a lot of manifestos .
He added: “It will be the first manifesto I know of that will contain pledges: seven pillars, 31 chapters, and 100 pledges.
”Eighty-seven of those pledges are commitments—things we will do by God’s grace, and 13 are aspirations because governments also have….”.

He emphasised that the traditional institutions and that his government, when formed, will work closely.
”Our traditional institutions remain an important part of Lagos’s identity and community life. We spoke about the future of our state, and listening to their wisdom and experience showed me the essence of working together to move Lagos forward.
”We have big goals for Lagos and achieving them requires us to work together. I am grateful to the Chiefs for sharing their insights and I remain committed to building a state where opportunities, better infrastructure and real progress reach every neighbourhood.
”As we work towards our promise for a greater Lagos, I will continue to listen, collaborate and uphold the culture and shared values that make our state unique”, Dr. Hamzat added.
