‎The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) has extended his felicitations to teachers in Nigeria especially in his council on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day, today.
‎
‎
‎The council boss commended teachers for their patience, sacrifices and dedication in moulding future leaders.
‎
‎
‎The World Teachers Day is celebrated globally every October 5.
‎
‎
‎”On this special day, I extend my warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to every teacher in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, across Lagos State, and throughout Nigeria.
‎
‎
‎”Teachers are the foundation on which our society is built. Every doctor, engineer, public servant, artisan, and leader first learned to read, reason, and dream in a classroom.”
‎
‎
‎”Your patience, sacrifice, and quiet dedication shape the minds and character of our children, and through them, the future of our communities and our nation.”
‎
‎
‎He lauded teachers for their commitment to children and young people beyond the wall of their classrooms.
‎
‎
‎”We know that your work often goes beyond the classroom. You counsel, mentor, encourage, and sometimes stand in as parents to the young people in your care. Your impact is not measured by one day’s recognition, but we want you to know that your efforts are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.”
‎
‎
‎He reiterated his administration’s commitment to continue to support teachers and appreciate their works so that they can continue to build future leaders in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
‎
‎
‎”As an administration, we remain committed to supporting the education sector and the welfare of those who serve in it, because investing in teachers is investing in the future of Igbogbo/Baiyeku. To our teachers, thank you for the guidance, the example you set, and the lessons you share with all of us every day.
‎
‎May you be rewarded abundantly for your labour of love. Happy Teachers’ Day!”
