-Justice Abiru, Dr Ogunjimi, Dr Onafowokan, Late Oba Fatola, Late Oba Hassan to be inducted
The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo -Olu, is expected to Grace the 8th edition of the Ikorodu Division Hall of Fame Induction / Investiture Ceremony, as the Special Guest of Honour.
The event scheduled for 11:00am at the Ikorodu Ultra-Modern Town Hall, Owolowo/Olubi Street, Ikorodu, on Saturday, 3rd October, 2026, will be chaired by a chieftain of the Governance Adviosory Council (GAC) and a former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, FNSE, KJW.
While the Honourable Justice Habeeb Adewale Olumuyiwa Abiru, first Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria from Ikorodu; Dr. Shamsedeen Babatunde Ogunjimi, the first Accountant-General of the Federation in Nigeria from Ikorodu and Dr. (Col.) Titilola Onafowokan (RTD.), who became Nigeria’s oldest PhD holder at age 85 and others will be inducted in their lifetime, Late Oba Johnson Fatola, Jpil., former Adeboruwa of Igbogbo; Late Oba Hassan Jimbo, former Sekumade of Ipakodo; Late Prince Tajudeen Odofin, former Commissioner for Finance, Lagos State; and Late Balogun Jaiyesimi, a legendary war general and others will be honoured posthumously.
This year’s ceremony marks a significant milestone in celebrating outstanding individuals who have contributed remarkably to the socio-economic and cultural growth of the Ikorodu Division.
Speaking on the forthcoming event, the Chairman of the Hall of Fame Committee, Mr Fatai Ola Lasisi, stressed the significance of the Hall of Fame.
