The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, has joined other well -meaning Ikorodu residents, associates and family members of Late Aremo Kamordeen Adeniyi Ogunsanya, the Aremo of Ikorodu Kingdom to mourn his passing.
The federal lawmaker in his tributes described the late Aremo Ogunsanya as an exceptional and distinct personality.
Late Aremo Ogunsanya passed away on Thursday and was buried on Friday in line with Islamic rites.
”I received with profound shock the news of the passing of a beloved father, mentor, confidant and respected community leader, Aremo (Alhaji) Kamorudeen Adeniyi Ogunsanya, who passed on at the age of 86.”

“Aremo Ogunsanya was an exceptional man whose life was defined by service, wisdom, humility and uncommon distinction. As the traditional head of one of the royal families in Ikorodu Kingdom, Patriarch and Olori-Ebi of the Suberu Ogunsanya Family, and Asiwaju of Ogijo Kingdom, he commanded immense respect and carried his responsibilities with dignity and grace.”
Sen. Abiru lauded the late head of Princes in Ikorodu Kingdom as a thorough professional with immense impacts on the insurance sector where he operated while alive.
“He was also a consummate professional and an insurance guru whose contributions to the industry and public life earned him admiration far beyond Ikorodu. His service as a former Chairman of the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), as well as his contributions at state and national levels, reflected his enduring commitment to the development of the society.

“For many of us, however, Aremo Ogunsanya was much more than the titles he bore. He was a father, mentor, confidant and dependable elder whose counsel was guided by wisdom, experience and genuine concern for others. He was an enigma in the truest sense, an accomplished professional, a bridge-builder, a custodian of tradition and a man who lived a truly fulfilled life.”
”On behalf of my family and the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Ogunsanya and Jinadu families, the people of Ikorodu Kingdom, Ogijo Kingdom and all associates and admirers of the deceased.
“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Janna Firdaus. May Allah also grant his family, friends and the entire Ikorodu community the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
