IBLCDA Launches Law, Masters, PhD Educational Support In Honour Of Asiwaju Basorun, Sen. Ogunlewe, Rep Benson

‎In order to encourage and support more indigenes and residents of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA) of Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, acquire higher education, the Chairman of the Council, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has launched three educational support initiatives.

‎The initiatives were announced during the foundation laying ceremony of the Zumratul Islammiyah Smart Primary School, Igbogbo on Monday.

‎Aroyewun announced the commencement of Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun’s Masters Programme In Law, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe Engineering Masters’ Programme and Rep. Babajimi Benson PhD Programmes.

‎While stating that the application will be out soon the council boss added that the educational support programmes are opened to indigenes and residents of IBLCDA with two beneficiaries for each programme every year.

‎”We also thought about how passionate our fathers are with education. They are so concerned about it and it is on that basis that we are launching a platform today – Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun’s Masters Programme In Law

“The idea is to give scholarship to two students every year for their Master’s programme in Law to encouraged our legal professionals to do more.”

‎He also introduced two other educational support ideas in honour of the former Minister of Works, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe and the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson.

‎”We are also initiating Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe Engineering Masters Programme in any engineering field anywhere in Nigeria that you want to study

‎”We are also sponsoring two Phd students in the name of Hon. Babajimi Benson for our students with masters that are willing to pursue their doctorate.”

‎While assuring that the application will be opened soon, Chairman Aroyewun emphasised that the processes are going to be very strict.

‎”The application will be made public soon and it will be strictly based merit.

‎”Applicants must be residents or affiliated to Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. It is going to be very strict and based on merit.

‎”We are initiating this to encourage our people especially those that do not have the capacity to further their education, ” he added.
