The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), will, on Monday, July 27, perform the ground breaking ceremony for the SMART School project – Zumratul Primary School, Igbogbo.
Aroyewun will be joined by chieftains of Governance Advosory Council (GAC), Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, and Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe. Also, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a community leader, Asiwaju Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya and the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, will also be on ground with others, to support the young council boss at the historic event.
The ground breaking of the project will commemorate the first-year anniversary of Omo’ba Aroyewun in office as the Executive Chairman.
The landmark school project, when completed, would be a three -storey classroom block equipped with digital tools, ICT centre, administrative section, library, healing bay, sporting arena and other facilities.
Mr Babajide Sanwo -Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, gave approval for the project recently and consequently, the construction began some about two weeks back with the clearing of site for the main construction which will kick -off on Monday with the ground breaking ceremony.
While presenting the architectural drawing of the proposed structure to selected journalists and bloggers some months back, Omo’ba Aroyewun described the proposed landmark initiative as “First of its kind in Lagos State”.
The school will be located on a portion of land excised from the large expanse of Zumratul Secondary School, Igbogbo. More so, the project was initiated by the council boss, to make primary education accessible to large populations of children in and around Zumratul, Ogunlewe, Selewu, Baiyeku Road, Awobo, Offin/Oreta Road among others.
