Kith & Kin Educational Schools Hosts PEP 2026, Reinforces Parents’ Role in Raising Responsible Children

Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, KKES Chief Learning Officer and school’s officers with some of the parents at the KKES 2026 Parents Education Programme (PEP) held on Saturday.

‎Kith and Kin Educational Schools (KKES), Ikorodu, Lagos, successfully hosted its 2026 Parents Education Programme (PEP), an avenue for the school to interact and carry the parents along in it’s developmental activities for pupils and students.

‎According to the school authorities the initiative is a forum to bring together parents, teachers, learners and other stakeholders to promote stronger parent-school collaboration in raising children who are academically excellent, morally upright and prepared for the future.

‎This year’s edition themed “My Parents and I,” took place at the KKES Excellence Hall, on Saturday. Some of the patents were presented with awards by the school in recognition of their contributions.

‎The keynote speaker, Dr. Olusola Adeogun, an educational development expert and Adjunct Lecturer in Educational Management at Lagos State University, highlighted the importance of effective communication, intentional parenting and responsible digital guidance.

‎She encouraged parents to listen to their children, build trust and work closely with schools to nurture positive behaviour and resilience in an ever-evolving world.

‎In his welcome address, the Chief Learning Officer, Chief Kaoli Olusanya, expressed appreciation to parents for their unwavering trust and support, describing them as indispensable partners in the school’s mission of developing future leaders.

‎He also celebrated the achievements of the school’s alumni, noting that their successes reflect the solid educational foundation provided by Kith and Kin Educational Schools.

‎Speaking on behalf of parents, the PTA Chairman, Mr. Oluwole Osewa, commended the school for combining academic excellence with character development, while the Principal, Mr. Julius Oregbesan, reaffirmed the school’s commitment to holistic education and encouraged parents to maintain active engagement with the school for the overall growth of their children.

‎The Principal of Kith and Kin British Academy, Mr. Raman Bello, also reminded parents that education is a shared responsibility, urging them to ensure regular attendance, monitor their children’s academic progress, communicate with teachers and actively participate in school activities.

‎The programme featured an engaging question-and-answer session, poetry presentations by learners and the presentation of appreciation awards to long-serving parents in recognition of their loyalty, commitment and support to the school over the years.

‎The event concluded with a renewed commitment by parents, teachers and school management to continue working together in nurturing confident, disciplined, responsible and globally competitive children.
