Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), member, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikorodu Constituency II, has urged residents across the three council areas under his representation to continue to build stronger communities and great opportunities together for a better and prosperous future.
The lawmaker, charged Ikorodu Constituency II residents in a statement commemorating Democracy Day, today.
He described the day as celebration of Nigerians’ resilience.
”Today, we celebrate not only triumph of democracy but also the enduring courage, resilience, and hope of our people. Democracy remains our collective commitment to justice, freedom, accountable leadership, and a society where every citizen has the opportunity to prosper.
”Despite the challenges before us, I urge you not to lose hope. Our future remains bright, and together, we shall continue to build stronger communities, create greater opportunities, and advance the development of Ijede, Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Imota, and every part of our beloved constituency.”
AMA prayed for a sustained democratic culture in Nigeria and increased capacity for the leaders.
”On this special day, I pray that Almighty God will strengthen our democratic institutions, grant wisdom to our leaders, restore peace and prosperity to our nation, and bless every family with divine protection, good health, favour, and abundance. May the sacrifices of our past heroes never be in vain.
