Strategic Meeting With President Tinubu Represents Another Important Milestone, A Renewed Call To Service For The People Of Ikorodu Constituency II – AMA

The incumbent representative of Ikorodu Constituency II who recently secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket as its candidate for another election, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has described the strategic meeting with President Bola Tinubu, by the 40 elected Assembly candidates of the ruling party in Lagos State, as a milestone and renewed call to serve his people.

AMA also said that the meeting served as an affirmation of the mandates entrusted to the APC candidates by party members across Lagos State, and also reinforced the party’s commitment to sustaining the developmental strides that have distinguished Lagos as Nigeria’s leading economic and commercial hub.

The meeting focused on early mobilization and party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Aro and 39 other APC candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2027 General elections, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at his Ikoyi residence, Lagos, on Saturday.

Also at the meeting were the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor who is now the Governorship candidate of APC for the 2027 General elections, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, APC Chairman, Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi and other leaders of the ruling party.

AMA spoke on the meeting in a statement by his Media Director/Personal Assistant, Razaq Kabiru Babatunde.

“The meeting served as an affirmation of the mandates entrusted to the APC candidates by party members across Lagos State, and reinforced the party’s commitment to sustaining the developmental strides that have distinguished Lagos as Nigeria’s leading economic and commercial hub”, the statement said.

It further stated that:

“For Hon. Dr. Aro Moshood Abiodun, the meeting represents another important milestone in his political journey and a renewed call to service for the people of Ikorodu Constituency II. Widely acknowledged for his grassroots approach to governance and commitment to community development, the Ikorodu Constituency II representative, reaffirmed his dedication to effective representation and the pursuit of initiatives that will further improve the quality of life of his constituents”.

The lawmaker also noted that the interaction with the President and party leadership provided valuable insights and inspiration as the APC prepares for another electoral contest, expressing confidence that the party remains well-positioned to retain the trust and confidence of Lagosians.

“The Abuja meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by party leaders and candidates to work collectively towards securing victory at the polls and advancing the vision of a greater Lagos and a more prosperous Nigeria”, it stated.

Addressing the gathering, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated the flagbearers on their emergence and urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and connected to the people they seek to represent. The President emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement, responsive leadership, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of citizens.

He further charged the candidates to uphold the progressive ideals of the APC and continue building on the foundation of good governance, infrastructural development, economic growth, and social advancement that the party has established over the years.
