-A milestone, rare blessing, and reward for discipline – President Tinubu
Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo, the father of the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has clocked 100th year on earth, a feat which President Tinubu has described as a milestone, rare blessing and reward for discipline and dedication.
The celebrant reached the centenary age today.
Alhaji Erogbogbo, worked with the Government Printing Press, Nigeria Customs and Excise, and was an aviation supervisor at Shell Company Nigeria Limited.
In his tribute, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, described the 100-year milestone as a rare blessing and a reward for a life of discipline, dedication, and selfless service to humanity.
President Bola Tinubu celebrated the elder statesman’s impactful career as government staff and his commitment to his community and state.
“I extend warm greetings to Alhaji Ashafa Ajibola Erogbogbo, an elder statesman and retired aviation supervisor at Shell Company Nigeria Limited, as he marks his centenary on May 28.
”Reaching 100 year is a remarkable milestone, a rare blessing, and a reward for a life of discipline, dedication, integrity, and selfless service to humanity and the nation.
”I join your family in giving glory to God for your century-long journey and your contributions to national development, particularly through your service years at Government Printing Press, Nigeria Customs and Excise and later at Shell Company Nigeria Limited. In all the places where you worked, you demonstrated professionalism, diligence, and a commitment to excellence.”
While congratulating the family of Erogbogbo over their patriarch’s 100 years celebration, especially Hon. Abike Dabiri -Erewa, President Tinubu, said that he looks forward to the celebrant’s account of life which has been documented in a book for the celebration.
“Your role as a respected community leader in Ikorodu, Lagos State and mentor is widely acknowledged. Your wisdom, counsel, and exemplary lifestyle continue to inspire younger generations.
”It is noteworthy that you, the father of Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), remain sharp of mind and warm of spirit at this advanced age.”
President Tinubu furthered:
