Students of the Department of Insurance and Actuarial Science have organised an awareness campaign aimed at promoting deeper understanding and development of insurance culture in Nigeria.
The Insurance Awareness Walk saw students walking across the Ikorodu campus of the University on Wednesday.
The awareness campaign, themed “A Future Refined,” was aimed at promoting greater awareness and deeper penetration of insurance culture within the Nigerian society.
Speaking on the initiative, the Head of Department, Mrs. Adeola K. Banjo, explained that the exercise was designed not only to enlighten members of the university community on the importance of insurance policies, but also to provide students with practical exposure and enhance their communication and interpersonal skills through direct engagement and advocacy.
