A strategic meeting between the management of the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu Local Government, and the six Head of Departments (HoD) of Education across the six councils in Ikorodu Division, has been held to further chart way forward for the sector.
According to the Education Secretary, LGEA, Ikorodu Local Government, Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, who convened the maiden meeting alongside his management team, the initiative was designed to strengthen collaboration and foster synergy between the LGEA and the office of the HoDs across the council.
”The session, which was the first of its kind, was designed to strengthen collaboration, foster synergy, and ensure effective data exchange, all in pursuit of educational excellence.
”Through this purposeful gathering, we commit ourselves to build strong working relationships and bridging gaps within the education sector in Ikorodu Division”, Alhaji Odumbo said.
He added: “With collaboration at its core, the meeting sets the stage for impactful initiatives that will elevate teaching, learning, and overall educational outcomes across the division.
”We’re energised to shape the future of learning, and as such resolved to make this engagement biennial”, he added.
In attendance were the HODs, Education, in the six councils in lkorodu division – Mr. Otambala Taiwo H. (Ijede LCDA), Mrs. Olufowobi A. O. (Imota LCDA), Mrs. Osoba Y. Y. (Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA), Mr. Okuneye O. A. (Ikorodu LG), Mr. Ganiu Mayegun (Ikorodu North LCDA), and Mrs. Raheem Kafilat O. (Ikorodu West LCDA).
