‎It was unanimous endorsement for Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun’s re – election bid as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency II, as the Justice Forum in Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Tuesday declared their support for him.

‎The agile lawmaker who kicked off his declaration tour today was endorsed at the parley with the JF in Imota LCDA, where incidentally, he was declaring his intention first to re- contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly position.

‎The Executive Chairman, Imota LCDA and leader of the JF, Hon. Sunday Benson Ayodele, stating that Imota LCDA will give AMA maximum votes at the primary election hints that the council will give more votes to the lawmaker than Ijede LCDA his home council.

“Hon AMA is the one we are talking about and he’s one person we can always put our trust in.

‎”We are done with all our voters card registration for those that are damaged and from next week we are going to announce plans to start the registration for the permanent voter cards again and I want to make a promise that I will defeat Ijede, but I don’t have the power to defeat Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA (laughter).

Members of JF in Imota LCDA turned out in their large numbers for AMA’s endorsement

‎”I want us to come out during the election because we have to have higher margins than Ijede and if we see any indigene of Ijede that wants to contest, I can assure you that he’s a civil servant that has not resigned and when I want3d to contest with Hon. Agoro (as chairman then), I had to resign.”

‎While warning members of the Justice Forum not to collect anything from any other candidate, Hon . Benson Sunday Ayodele said they are fully satisfied with AMA’s representation.

‎The council chairman who said that Imota LCDA is adhering to the principle of rotation for the Assembly position among Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs, added that AMA has facilitated a lot of projects and has been good to the people.

‎”It  is turn by turn and not yet our turn (in Imota). It’s still AMA’s turn and he has done well.

‎”Hon AMA is a good person and he has a lot of projects he wants to bring here. He has gotten the approval of the regional market and the contractor will start soon.

‎”I implore you all that on the day of the primary election, we don’t want any issue of fighting. I want us to come and vote and when they are to look at the figure of Imota, they should know that it’s bigger than Ijede’s own, ” he said.

‎He stated and reiterated that members of the APC in Imota LCDA have resolved to give their support to AMA, and also to return Rep. Baba Jimi Benson, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and also vote Dr  Obafemi Hamzat and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Governor and President respectively.

‎Former council chairman, Hon. Wasiu Agoro who played a key role in AMA’s emergence as representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, described his representation as unprecedented.

‎”His performance is unprecedented and we believe in him. That was why we voted for him and we believe he’s going to represent us more than what he did in the last three years if given another opportunity.

‎”I don’t think we have had anything like that before which is why you can see overwhelming crowd here today to welcome him and whether he his here or not, we are going to vote for him because he has been doing well and people of Imota LCDA love him so much for what he has done and they believe he will do more. That is why they are giving him all the support you’re seeing here today,” he said.

‎Hon.  Aro Moshood soeaking said he was visiting the JF in Imota to declare his intention to re contest as the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II.

‎”I came here to tell that through the grace that you gave me to be your representative for the first term, that I will be marking my three years by June and I want to thank God that has done a lot for the development of Ikorodu Constituency II.

‎”What I came here to do is just to inform you that I will be contesting for my second term and I need your support most especially the people that have APC membership cards, because that is what we will use for this primaries election.

‎”I will be back after the primaries to canvass for the general elections, but for now, I want us to keep our cards very well for this primaries election and I want you to deliver votes during the election like your chairman has said and you are the only one that can make it happen and by God’s Grace we will succeed.”

‎Hon. AMA assured party members and residents of Imota that he will do more than they have seen or experience from his three years representation.

‎”I also want to assure you that if I get re-elected, I will do more than what I have done in the past three years. I am happy that I have been able to help people get jobs because I remember that when I was campaigning for my first term, I came to Justice Forum and we discussed a lot and I have also been able to do a lot.

‎”I want to assure you that in the next three years, more development will come in.”
