‎Mr Henry Olugbenga Ikuesan, a media aide to the Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA) has joined the numerous family members, friends, and associates in paying tributes to the council boss on his birthday.

‎Aroyewun added another year today.

‎Ikuesan’s tribute to his boss is reproduced below:

‎Happy birthday to my Oga and leader, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun

‎I’ve been trying to find the right words, but honestly there’s no neat speech that captures it. We’ve been at this long before the title, before the official seal, before any of the protocol. Back when it was just few people who saw what needed fixing and decided to start fixing it anyway.

‎That’s the part I respect most. Not the position, but the fact that you’re still the same person who showed up before the cameras and the accolades. You haven’t traded the work for the applause.

‎Working as your media aide has been one thing. But standing with you as a co-labourer on those “positive stuffs” before anyone voted? That taught me more about leadership than any manual ever could.

‎So today, I’m not just wishing you well because you’re my boss. I’m grateful because you’re my brother in the trenches.

‎May this new year bring you deeper peace, sharper wisdom, and the quiet joy of seeing seeds we planted years ago finally break through the soil.

‎Now for the prayer, and I mean every word of it:

‎Father, over this man who leads not from a tower but from the dust of the road, surround him with counsel that adds years to his vision. Let no whisper of corruption touch his name. When enemies gather in secret, scatter them with confusion. When the burden feels heavy, send him helpers who don’t need to be chased. Let his children rise and call him blessed. Let Igbogbo/Baiyeku become a testimony under his watch, not because of grand speeches, but because he refused to look away from the ordinary person’s cry. Give him sleep that restores, laughter that heals, and the final reward of seeing a people lifted. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.

‎With deep respect and shared history,

‎Ikuesan Henry Olugbenga,

‎Media Aide to the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA
