The Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ikorodu Local Government, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, has revealed that visitations to major political stakeholders by his team are geared towards ensuring inclusiveness in galvanizing and mobilising people in the grassroots towards the re – election of President Bola Tinubu.
He emphasised that the movement was formed to further educate and inform people in the grassroots about the positive impacts of Tinubu’s reforms, and programmes, so as to make it seamless in convincing them to vote massively for him come 2027.
Comrade Odesanya reiterated the RHA’s agenda when he led his team on a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Mayor Ameen Apanisile, in his office at the council secretariat, Isiwu, IkORODU North LCDA.
“We here to formally tell you about the Renewed Hope Agenda as its Ambassadors in Ikorodu Federal Constituency. Although I was appointed as its ambassador about two weeks ago, I want to inform you that it’s a collective responsibility and not a one-man thing.
“I have come to you to assure you of our readiness to meet with every stakeholder that we have come together to do this. In particular, we are counting on you for support and in ensuring that we get competent hands to work with us. No sentiment at all, because we are interested in capable hands who can mobilise, galvanise, and who can spread the goodwill message of Asiwaju and his administration’s achievements.”
The RHA ambassadors coordinator furthered, “It is our duty to educate and canvass for him and we have to go round the grassroots where the real politics of good governance impacts. It is about the people and what the administration of President Tinubu has done for them.”
The RHA Coordinator solicited for the support of the council boss, reiterating that Tinubu’s re – election is a mandate for justice for Nigerians to fully benefit from his reform agenda which have started yielding positive effects.
“Let’s do it together because we want it to be all inclusive. I am very confident in your support and respect for the symbol, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, respect for the party and the need to also be on the side of the Nigerian people, so that we can all achieve the re- election together.
“I tell people that the re- election is a mandate and that’s the only mandate to justify the long suffering of Nigerians and to give them justice, we need to re-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu so that he can continue to take us to a greater height in eight years. That’s why we have come,” he said.
Mayor Apanisile congratulating Comrade Odesanya on his appointment to coordinate the re – election of President Tinubu, explained that his council has already worked towards that by recording the highest members registration during the last e – registration exercise in Lagos State.
He emphasised the same for the Permanent Voters Registration and assured the Renewed Hope Ambassadors of total support.
“You would realise that Ikorodu North LCDA happens to be top in the last APC e – registration exercise, not only in the division but the whole of the state. We registered about 24, 000 members into APC and we still have a lot of voters that are not our card-carrying members. Those are the people we would be expecting more votes from.
“What you have seen is just a tip of the iceberg. What you should be expecting is a multiplicity of what we got during the e – registration. A lot of people are still calling me that they want to register as APC and I told them that the party is still going to bring back the process and when the portal is reopened, you would see more people registering in our council.
“We are in talk within the Division and at the state level concerning the next General Elections and there is no way we are not going to work with you. We are going to work together to make sure Ikorodu records the highest number of votes for President Tinubu’s re – election and other APC candidates.
“We have done that before, but this time around, we are looking for times three or four of what we delivered previously and it is achievable,” Mayor Apanisile assured the RHA Coordinator.
He commended Comrade Odesanya for the way he has been going around to build bridges and bring all stakeholders on board, while assuring him of total support from all the council chairmen in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
“You have been going around on the job that you have been given and not just sitting down somewhere. We, the present chairmen in Ikorodu are young and we are ready to move with you. Let us make good use of our capacity and this opportunity to deliver because everyone wants Asiwaju Tinubu back as the President.
“We all know Asiwaju is going to win, but we want that to happen with a good margin and that’s why we are all going out to make sure that every stone is turned in delivering the mandate. God will make it easy for you because it is only when I have that huge number of votes, that I can congratulate you and myself.
“That is when I will be able to speak where I am supposed to speak and use that as an opportunity to attract projects and other public goods to my council.
“Again, I welcome you to Ikorodu North LCDA and congratulate you. I am ready and willing to give you the maximum support to make sure that we achieve and deliver for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027,” Mayor Apanisile said.
