The Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, has said that the agenda is about ensuring that large numbers of Nigerians get proper education about the administration of President Bola Tinubu, so as to seamlessly galvanise towards his re – election.

He emphasised that the project is about the people getting justice when Tinubu is re – elected for another term to fully entrench his reform and transformation.

Comrade Odesanya spoke in an exclusive interview with THE IMPACT at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ temporary office at De Factor Corridor, Olubi in Ikorodu.

“It’s about Nigerians and about ensuring justice and the mandate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because there would be Justice if he gets re-elected, and that’s what I meant by Justice to further the transformation he has commenced already.

“At the level of the Renewed Hope, we consider it very fundamental to educate people. So, the Renewed Hope project revolves around political education, political engineering of the electorate in order to galvanize them. They must know why they need to re-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, because there are reforms to ultimately herald a new era for Nigerian citizens.

“So we are convinced and we have seen his moves and we know his antecedent and his passion for the poor and average Nigerian citizens. So, that is what we represent. To move, mobilize, educate people and ensure his re-election.

“We have not started campaigning yet, but we are going out to educate our people and tell them this is what Asiwaju has done. In summary, it is about political education”, the Renewed Hope Coordinator explained.

He said that he has been going round to meet political stakeholders as the first phase of his consultations, in ensuring that the project is a collective one.

“It is for inclusiveness and this mandate is divisional and it is not about Ikorodu Central alone. It’s all about the Ikorodu division and you have Apex leaderships. I have been to Baba Ogunleye (Prince Abiodun Ogunleye), former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, so that we are well guided, and I have also been to Constituency 2 to see Baba Olorunfunmi Bashorun. I have met with Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, and I have been meeting with council chairmen. I have been to Honourable Jimi Benson’s constituency office, and I have also been to Sen. Mikhail Abiru Constituency Office.

“I have also visited the former Majority Leader, Hon. SOB Agunbiade, Divisional APC Chairman, Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, and the APC Chairman in Ikorodu Central, Alhaji Animashaun. I have also commenced visitations to the council chairmen by visiting Hon. (Prince) Dayo Ladega, I have been to Igbogbo, Ijede, Ikorodu West, and Ikorodu North. We intend to sustain the consultations by going to other stakeholders.

“So, we are into a collective project and we won’t do it in isolation of any other interest other than the interest that binds us together at the level of the party and at the level of Ikorodu division. That is why we have been going out to people, telling them, introducing ourselves and making sure we key them into the project”.

Speaking on the implications of re-electing President Tinubu, Comrade Japheth said that his acceptance means more projects and quality representation.

“They should expect more projects, more representativeness. They should expect that higher recognition will come to Ikorodu, because we are operating as the federal constituency and monitoring each and every of our votes, and ensuring that we are directly in touch with the electorate and listen to them. They would get more in return”, Comrade Odesanya assured.
