Proud Father, Odofin Igbogbo Expresses Delight As Son, Daughter Graduate From CALEB University

The Odofin of Igbogbo Kingdom, Odofin Tajudeen Alade Duduyemi Onasanya, has expressed happiness and joy at seeing his last son and daughter, Prince Saheed Adeoye Onasanya and Princess Okikiola Onasanya become graduates at the same time from one of the leading private universities in Nigeria – CALEB University, Imota.

Both young Onasanyas graduated from the College of Arts, Social Science and Management Sciences, while Adeoye studied Political Science, Okikiola studied Economics. They were among the 1,924 graduates awarded degrees by the CALEB University on Wednesday.

The senior traditional chief who is also the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Talade & Sons, with his wife, Alhaja Chief (Mrs) Omoshola Adijat Onasanya, were accompanied to the graduation ceremony of their children by family members, friends and prominent Igbogbo chiefs led by the Iyalode of Igbogbo, Chief (Mrs) Karimot Jokotade Ojikutu (Nee Idowu).

Speaking with THE IMPACT, Odofin Onasanya expressed satisfaction at the academic performance of his children and their graduation adding that they have made him and the entire Odofin Chieftaincy Family, Lantan Onanusi of Igbogbo and the entire Igbogbo Kingdom.

“This is a glorious day for the entire Odofin Chieftaincy Family, Lantan Onanusi of Igbogbo, and their mother side too. We have two of our children graduating on the same day from one of the most prestigious private universities in Nigeria, CALEB University, Imota.

“It is indeed a great day for me and their mother, our families and the entire Igbogbo Kingdom. I am proud of their achievements and I believe that this is their starting point to greatness.

“As a proud parent, I am filled with fulfilment and satisfaction that my youngest son and daughter have joined their seniors in taking bold steps to get education, improve and prepare themselves for now and the future. This is a milestone achievement and by the grace of God, they shall continue to reach for greater heights.”

The elated Odofin Onasanya furthered, “My dearest Adeoye and Okikiola, again, I am very proud of you and thank you for putting smiles on my face and that of your mother. We look forward to your service to our dear country and your next steps to greatness thereafter.

“This graduation marks a chapter in your pursuit of greatness and the beginning of another which we shall be alive to witness. The future is full of endless opportunities, and I know you will keep shining in everything you choose to do.

“Congratulations on your graduation, son and daughter! This is just the beginning of your journeys to greatness.”

Adeoye Onasanya, a graduate of Political Science, expresses his happiness at the feat he has attained, specially appreciated his parents who he described as most important to his success and life generally.

“As I stand here today, graduating from this esteemed university, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation to the two most important people in my life, my parents.

“To my dad, who has been my rock and my inspiration, thank you for your unwavering support and guidance throughout my academic journey. Your hard work and dedication to our family have been my driving force, and I am forever grateful for the sacrifices you’ve made for me and also the support that helped me persevere through the challenges that I overcame through the years.

He dedicated his achievement as a graduate to his parents and assured them of reflecting on lessons that they have impacted on him as he continues on his life journey and work towards making them prouder.
