As the 30 days of Muslim fasting and prayers commenced today, the Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele has urged the Muslim faithful to use the sacred month to reflect and renew their faith.

‎The Chairman also charged them to show compassion and support to those in need during the period.

‎He made the appeal in a statement commemorating the start of the Ramadan fasting on Wednesday.

‎”As Ramadan begins today, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Imota Local Council Development Area for a month of spiritual awakening, inner peace, joy, and a deeper connection to Almighty Allah (SWT).

‎”Ramadan is a sacred period of deep reflection, renewed faith, acts of kindness, and spiritual purification. As we fast and pray, let us remember to be our brothers’ keepers by extending compassion and support to those in need.

‎”May this holy month draw us closer to Allah, strengthen our faith, and fill our lives with peace, prosperity, and abundant blessings.”

‎He also enjoined the Muslim faithful to pray for continued peace, unity and progress in Imota.

‎”As you gather at mosques, homes, and community spaces for prayers and Iftar, I encourage you all to use this period to pray for continued peace, progress, and harmony in our dear local government, our state, and our nation.

‎”May Allah accept our supplications and our fasting as acts of ibadah. I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Imota LCDA a peaceful and blessed Ramadan.

‎”Ramadan Kareem.”
